Retention and deletion

Defines how long data is retained and how customers can request deletion, and what to include in that request.

How long we keep data

Retention depends on the type of data and why it exists. In general:

  • Raw customer data is kept for the duration of the agreement, and then for a short period afterward to support orderly shutdown and deletion workflows
  • Anonymized data used for model improvement and aggregate analytics can be retained longer because it is scrubbed of personally identifiable information

Deleting data

To request deletion of customer data, contact privacy@roof.ai. Please be sure to include:

  • Your company name
  • The website / domain(s) in scope
  • What you want deleted (ex. a specific lead / transcript)
  • The date range (if applicable)

Deletion and backups

Some data may persist temporarily in encrypted backups. These backups roll forward on a regular schedule, and data ages out in the normal course of backup retention.
