Lead types explained

The lead intent categories Roof AI uses and how they map to follow-up and routing.

Last Updated: Apr 14, 2026

Roof AI classifies each lead by intent, what the visitor was trying to do based on what they asked during the conversation. This classification shows up in your lead notification email and is used for routing. Lead type classification is available on Intelligence and above.

How lead types are used

Lead types reflect conversation intent – they tell you what the visitor was asking about, not necessarily what they'll do next. Use them as a starting point for follow-up, not a guarantee of outcome.

Lead type classification and routing are available on the Intelligence and Full service tiers. On these plans, a buyer lead can automatically go to a buyer's agent, and a seller lead to a listing specialist. See Lead routing overview for how to configure this.
