Usage FAQs for the Free plan
1) Do I need a credit card to start?
No, Roof AI’s free plan doesn’t require a payment method to get started.
2) What do I get on the Free plan?
The Free plan gives you AI chat on every page of your website, real-time listing Q&A, lead profiles, and instant email lead notifications, capped at 5 leads per month. When you're ready for unlimited leads and features like Roof AI's real estate knowledge base, local area insights, and automated lead routing, you can upgrade to a paid plan at any time.
3) What counts as a lead?
A lead is counted when a visitor shares contact details or asks to be contacted (i.e. when a lead notification would be generated).
4) When does the 5-lead limit reset?
Your lead count resets on the first day of each month.
5) What happens when I hit 5 leads?
Once you hit your monthly limit, the Roof AI widget will not appear on your site for you or any of your visitors. However, it will return at the start of the next month when your lead limit resets.
6) Will I still receive lead notification emails on the Free tier?
Yes, the free plan still routes leads via email notifications. Once you hit your monthly lead limit, those lead notification emails will pause until your limit resets or you upgrade.
7) Are there limits on conversations or chat volume?
There’s no limit on chats or conversations – the only limit is on leads.
8) Can I upgrade to a paid plan?
Yes! To upgrade, you can either visit the following page or contact us at support@roof.ai and we’ll help you move to the right paid tier.
9) If I upgrade, does my limit go away immediately?
Upgrades take effect once your paid plan is activated. After you upgrade, you won’t be capped at 5 leads per month.
10) Can I cancel the Free tier?
There’s nothing to cancel – you can stay on the Free tier as long as you want, and upgrade only when you’re ready.
11) Can I use add-ons (like Mortgage) on the Free tier?
No, add-ons like Mortgage are only available on paid tiers.
12) I’m not seeing any leads coming through
Start here:
- Confirm you haven’t already hit your 5 leads for the month
- Check spam / quarantine for your lead notification emails
- Make sure your test actually triggers a lead (contact details must be submitted)
