After you purchase Roof AI Core, you’ll go through a few quick steps that take you from checkout to a live AI assistant on your website. This article walks through what happens next – what you’ll be asked for, when you’ll receive your install script, and what you should expect to see in your first week.

Step 1: Quick setup (0 minutes after checkout)

After signing up, you’ll be asked for a few details so we can tailor your AI assistant’s on-site experience correctly:

  • Listing page URL (the page where your AI assistant will appear on)
  • Lead notification email (where any new leads should be sent)
  • Brand color (so the widget matches your site to a tee)

Once you submit that, we generate your install script automatically – this usually takes just a few minutes.

Step 2: We email you your install script with detailed instructions (1-2 hours after checkout)

You’ll receive an email containing:

  • The script
  • Clear installation steps, including videos
  • What to do if you use a CMS, tag manager, or work with a vendor to manage your site

Most teams can install this quickly and easily. If you’re not the person who manages the website, you can forward the email to whoever is!

We will also send you an example of a lead notification email so you can see what these look like in practice. This helps teams align internally on what they’ll receive and how to respond.

Step 3: You’ll start getting lead notifications by email

When a visitor shares their info or asks to be contacted, a lead notification email automatically gets sent to the address you provided during setup. That email is designed to be actionable at a glance, so you can follow up quickly.

Step 4: You’ll get ongoing weekly reporting emails

Every Monday, you’ll receive a weekly report email that summarizes:

  • Activity and engagement
  • Leads captured
  • Performance trends over time

This report is meant to give you a bird’s-eye view of results without needing to log into a portal.

After signing up for either Roof AI Intelligence or Lifecycle, you’ll be working directly with a member of the Roof AI team. This is an overview of the onboarding timeline to set up the Roof AI bot.

Stage 1

During the kickoff phase, we will collect the MLS® agreements, sign them, and then return them to the MLS® boards to give us approval and access to their data feed. During this stage we’ll work with your web and/or CRM vendors on the Roof AI widget installation and getting access to an agent roster.

Timeline: approx. 2 weeks (expect delays caused by the MLS® boards)

Stage 2

In the second stage, we will go over your bot branding guidelines and discuss the setup of your bot’s email address. In the meantime, the Roof AI team will start processing the MLS® data feeds once the access is provided, and map your service area.

Timeline: approx. 3 weeks

Stage 3

The lead routing stage comprises setting the preferred business rules for routing the different types of leads coming from your Roof AI bot. This can be done through an integration with your CRM or with email notifications to the email address(es) of your choice.

Timeline: approx. 2 weeks

Stage 4

During this stage, the Roof AI team will build your bot's Brokerage and Mortgage skills, as well as the Agent Search skill. After setup is complete, we will send you a Javascript code to be installed on your staging environment.

Timeline: approx. 2 weeks

Stage 5

After installing the script on your staging site and turning your bot on, stage 5 is about testing to make sure everything is working well. Two main components that should be focused on during testing are bot functionality and lead routing.

Timeline: approx. 1 week

Stage 6

During the final stage of onboarding, the Roof AI team will be sending you another Javascript snippet to install on your production site in order to go live with the bot.

Total time to onboard: approx. 8 weeks
