Managing your AI assistant settings
After completing onboarding, you'll land on your assistant settings screen where your setup lives. This shows the configuration you entered during onboarding and is where you can make any account changes after completing setup.
What you'll find here
Your settings screen reflects the choices you made during setup:
- Brand color: the color used for the widget on your site
- Lead notification email: where new leads are sent when a visitor shares their contact details
- Listing page URL: the page (or pages) where your assistant is active
- Install script: your unique JavaScript snippet, in case you need to reference it later
- For users on Core or Intelligence tier, here is where you'll find your billing info
When do I need to visit settings?
Most users revisit their settings when something in their operation changes:
- You want leads going to a different inbox
- Your brand color needs updating
- You want to confirm your listing URL is still correct after a site change
- You need to find your install script to share with a developer or web vendor
How to make a change
You can update any of your settings directly from the assistant settings screen. Click the field you want to edit, make your change, and click save at the bottom of the screen. Updates usually take effect immediately, but can take up to a business day.
The one exception is your install script. Your script doesn't change when you update settings like your lead email or brand color – those are configured on the Roof AI side. The only time your script needs to change is if your domain or listing URL structure changes significantly. If you're unsure whether a change affects your script, email us at support@roof.ai before making any changes to your site.
Free tier note
If you're on the Free tier, your settings screen also shows your current lead count for the month and when your limit resets. This is the quickest way to check where you stand before your monthly cap resets.
